WARNING-Topics dealing with law enforcement and military subject matter.
CO-PILOT, a hydration repair formula for high performance individuals and K9 units, required a prototype visual and marketing strategy to showcase its potential and connect with its target audience which is military, law enforcement, EMS, and extreme performers. Through research, competitor analysis, and stakeholder collaboration, I developed a prototype package that included a preliminary brand identity, product labeling, mockups, email graphics, and field based scenarios featuring human and K9 personas. These assets, paired with a tailored marketing presentation, highlighted Co-Pilot’s utility and aspirational value, providing stakeholders with a clear vision of the product’s potential and a strong foundation for future development.

CO-PILOT
Client and Project Background:
Co-Pilot is a hydration repair formula designed to help extreme-performing individuals and K9 units maintain peak hydration and electrolyte balance during demanding situations. The company required a prototype development strategy to establish the brand’s foundation and communicate its potential to stakeholders.
Design Brief:
(The Problem) The challenge was to develop a prototype visual identity and marketing strategy that would reflect the product’s value while aligning with the company’s current stage of development. This included creating assets to showcase the product’s real-world utility to its target audience—military personnel, law enforcement officers, and high-performance humans and K9s.
Research and Inspiration:
Extensive research included analyzing similar industry products, competitor brands, and engaging with individuals in the target market. Conversations with stakeholders provided key insights that fueled the design direction and scenarios for product usage in the field.
Concept Development:
I developed a prototype package that brought Co-Pilot’s mission to life, including:
-A prototype brand identity, product labeling, and mockups.
-Email graphics for awareness campaigns and newsletters.-Visuals to establish the product’s look, feel, and function.
-Two personas—a human officer and a K9 officer—with field-based scenarios illustrating the product’s practical application.
-A marketing presentation to communicate the product’s potential to stakeholders.
-The prototype focused on creating aspirational and functional visuals to highlight the product’s role in extreme performance situations.
Challenges:
Developing cohesive visuals that balanced aspirational branding with the technical, performance-driven nature of the product, while ensuring the prototype aligned with stakeholder expectations.
Final Deliverables/Solution(s):
The prototype package included a preliminary brand identity, product mockups, labeling designs, email graphics, and a stakeholder-focused marketing presentation. The deliverables effectively showcased Co-Pilot’s potential and provided a strong foundation for the product’s next development phase.
Conclusion:
By combining research, stakeholder collaboration, and real-world field scenarios, I successfully developed a prototype package that positioned Co-Pilot as a valuable solution for its target audience. The materials equipped stakeholders with the visuals and strategy needed to move the product toward future growth and implementation.
