Buster Bee

To introduce Henry’s Bolt Buster Bar, I created a bold, eye-catching billboard campaign featuring Buster Bee, a custom character designed to embody reliability and bring a smile to passersby. Located at a high-traffic industrial intersection in Grand Prairie, Alberta, the billboard targets professional mechanics and tradespeople during their daily commutes. Morning viewers see it as the solution to tackle challenges ahead, while evening traffic identifies it as tomorrow’s fix for frustrations faced on the job. The project included character development, a 10’x20’ billboard design, and packaging mockups for pilot distribution through Greggs, Harley-Davidson parts departments, and Snap-on trucks, ensuring the product resonated with its target audience.

Broad Target Audience-Professional mechanics and similar trades such as millwrights and pipe-fitters.

Research and Inspiration:
Many years of broken bolts and many solutions. Beeswax will get drawn into the threads of a heated (HOT) seized fastener. The wax provides lubricant in the corrosion itself and allows the rust to fracture, resulting in the ability to loosen. Old trick and beeswax works the best . I am a beekeeper and understand the cycle to get the wax. The technique is still being taught and is used on motorcycles often. Motorcycle mechanics and various industrial mechanics were consulted. Henry Himself inspired buster the bee and it gained traction.

Concept Development:
The product is to marketed at Greggs distributors a favorite supply store in the area. The product will be supplied to the Harley Davidson parts department as a promotional item to techs. Snap-on tool dealers in the area will have stock for sale on the mobile truck on a consignment pilot project for market distribution to the workbench. Visual representations of brand and product are to utilized for preliminary sales support (production volume)

Challenges:
