The Portfolio

The hours spilled across years as the training and drawing continued. Each sketch, each design, was a building block in a larger journey. Then came the introduction of AI, reshaping the creative landscape. Suddenly, the world began to see how easy it could look, a few clicks, and art seemed to manifest effortlessly.

At one point, I marveled at how simple it was to move an object on a computer screen. But that simplicity was deceptive. I quickly realized that a simple small move often needed to be replicated across an entire brand. A shift of one millimeter could equate to 10 to 12 hours of screen time, painstakingly adjusting across countless deliverables.

For every unplanned iteration, I am thankful. The practice, though tedious at times, sharpened my skills and reinforced my discipline. They say 10,000 hours makes an expert. By that count, I still have a few thousand more to go. But I also refuse to let any of those hours go to waste. With each iteration communication becomes more essential on projects, as well as honesty from those who critique.

How many times will I change my own work? Endlessly. Yet, in each revision, there is growth. Each adjustment, no matter how small, brings me closer to mastery. And so, the portfolio evolves, not just as a collection of work, but as a testament to persistence, adaptability, and the ceaseless pursuit of excellence.
